WINDOW NOTE
Measure first

Windows are made to the size of the opening, so measure before you order.

Probe for rot

Soft wood at the sill means water is getting in, and a full-frame replacement may be the better method.

Fog means a failed seal

Moisture between the panes usually means the sealed glass unit needs replacing.

Air sealing counts

Foam and sealant around the frame matter as much as the glass.

Installation matters

A well-set window of any brand outperforms a poorly set one.

How it works

From first call to windows that work.

A simple six-step process with a written scope, careful measuring and a final walkthrough.

  1. 01

    Call and describe it

You tell us what you want or what the windows are doing, and we set an estimate visit that fits your day.

  2. 02

    Measure and plan

We measure each opening, check the frames, sills and trim for rot and note options for style, glass and installation method.

  3. 03

    Choose and confirm

You get a plain written scope with the window models, glass packages, trim and schedule, and you approve it before anything is ordered.

  4. 04

    Order and prepare

The windows are ordered or made to your sizes, inspected when they arrive and the work areas are protected.

  5. 05

    Install and seal

We remove the old windows, set the new ones plumb and level, flash, insulate, seal and trim each opening.

  6. 06

    Walk through

We clean up, haul away the old windows if you asked, walk you through the finished work and explain how to care for them.

Questions

Quick answers.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. The Free Estimate comes with no obligation. You approve a written scope before any window is ordered.

What is the difference between insert and full-frame replacement?

An insert fits inside the existing frame and keeps the trim. A full-frame replacement removes the old frame and trim down to the opening, which lets us fix rot and flash and insulate the opening.

What is low-E glass?

A very thin coating on the glass that reflects heat, which helps keep rooms comfortable in summer and winter.

What drives the cost of replacement windows?

Frame material, size, glass package, style, trim work, access, and any rot or framing repair. A written estimate shows exactly where the money goes.

How do I keep windows working well?

Clean the tracks, keep weep holes clear, lubricate moving parts as advised and check seals once a year.

Music City Windows provides window installation and replacement, window styles, frames and glass, window repair, trim, sealing and finishing, screens, film and care, commercial and property windows, and estimates, emergency service and planning. We focus on windows and do not install doors. Brand names belong to their owners, and we are an independent company that is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any window, glass or hardware maker. Calculators, cost ranges, checklists and guides on this site are planning references, not engineering, safety, insurance or legal advice, and only a visit can confirm what a project needs. Results depend on the existing structure, site conditions, products, schedule and the choices you make, so no photograph shows exactly what your project will look like. Broken glass and heavy windows can cause serious injury, so be careful and leave major repairs to trained professionals. Permit, egress and community rules vary by city, county and neighborhood, so confirm what applies locally. We do not perform mold remediation. Prices shown in the planner are ballpark placeholders only and your written estimate is what counts.
